IH Farmall Super A | 1953

Purchased this machine from a neighbor who had used it for gardening. Now, I continue to use it in the garden and on the hay fields.
Outside of washing it, I have done no cosmetic work to this machine; previous owner had it repainted around 2015.
The tractor had been put into storage for several years. Despite this, the engine turned over smooth as silk. Luckily for me, the previous owner had filled each cylinder with Marvel's Mystery oil. What a great move!
My first steps included cleaning the gas tank, carburator rebuild, as well as new points and plugs. After blowing the oil out of the cylinders, she fired right up. My dad and I drove it home from the shed shortly thereafter.
Since then, I've done several preventative maitence jobs on the tractor, and it continues to run like a champ! It's easy to see that this machine is one of my favorites!

Here lies the record for "Coldest day on the A." It was 7° F (-14°C). Despite the cold day, it started perfectly fine and ran well.
