Hello everyone, and thank you for visiting my site. My name is Dalton and I'm from Bessemer City, NC. I'm currently perusing a BS in Electrical Engineering at North Carolina State University. After graduating, I plan to become a NERC certified system operator (NCSO) and work towards a career as a Transmission Operator. I am honored to serve as the president of NC State's Student Amateur Radio Society, W4ATC. In addition to NC State, I am a graduate of Gaston College in Dallas, North Carolina, of which I now work for part time tutor in engineering technology and mathmatics .
I am a licensed by the FCC as an amateur radio operator, and hold an extra class license. My callsign is W4WXL. On the Amateur Radio tab, I have compiled a plethora of resources useful for amateur radio operators like myself. At the bottom of that page, I've included picutres and a description of my equipment. In addition to amateur radio, my hobbies include the restoration of old iron equipment. On the Iron Collection tab, you'll find a collection of pictures I've collected in this hobby. It's my belief that we should all do our part to protect history, and that includes antique industrial and agricultural equipment. The internal combustion engine is quite possibly the biggest engineering advancement in modern history; just think of how many ways that single invention has fueld our development as a nation and beyond.
Finally, I'm an avid musician and play several different instruments. My favorite of these is the piano and the violin, but I also enjoy others such as picking a guitar and mandolin. I have experience as a worship leader for Catawba Valley Baptist Church. Besides playing, I also enjoy listening to all the old music.
Thank you for coming by, and I hope you enjoy my site.
